SILK SUMMER - A CAPSULE BY ATELIER SARITA & AMBRE COIFFURE

The raw material? A pongé silk 5, soft, fluid and light, number one in the dormant stocks of a major French Couture House. A rare fabric, hand-dyed using the artisanal Shibori technique which consists of pinching, tying, and compressing the silk before immersing it in a natural indigo bath. Each fold retains or absorbs the color differently, revealing unique patterns.

For this capsule, we explored several variations of folds: Itajime (with geometric patterns – square or triangle), Kanoko (with a polka dot or cloud effect, obtained by repeated knotting), Scrunch (more organic and random).

Silk, usually rare in Atelier Sarita collections, seemed like an obvious choice for this capsule collection because it cares as much as it dresses. Naturally smooth and hypoallergenic, it respects the hair fiber, prevents tangles, limits frizz, and absorbs less care than cotton. Our scrunchies and squares have been designed to style without pulling, accessorize without damaging, and dress without ever restricting.

The collection consists of:

Baby scrunchies (not so mini): to wear in the hair or on the wrist.

Regular Scrunchies : neither too discreet nor too bulky, for all hair types.

Maxi Scrunchies : with extra length for fuller hair, to wear in your hair or on your wrist.

Silk squares (70 x 70 cm) to tie in the hair, around the neck or on the handle of a bag.
